01) Because they're a freak show.
02) Because their relationship consists of bad, cheesy lines. ("Didn't realize you had a dark side, Clark." "What are you? Man or superman?")
03) Because Lana's necklace is just doing what the audience wants it to do- keep them away from each other!
04) Because we're already sick of Clark stalking her.
05) Because the graveyard scene was not cute- it was creepy.
06) Because Clark's constant daydreams of her are disgusting. (the football game, the "saved you that dance")
